What is Friends of Tufnell Park Primary School?

Are you a former pupil, a teacher or staff member, are you a parent or do you simply take an interest in the Tufnell Park community?

Friends of Tufnell Park Primary School allows anyone who no longer have children at the school or otherwise have a direct connection to the school to continue to remain informed about and to support the school.

It is free and open to join for anyone that has had a relationship with the school, for example as a former pupil, teacher or staff member, but it is of course also open to current parents and others in the local community.

To improve the success of the school and the impact it has on children and the local community, Friends of Tufnell Park Primary School aims to maintain the link between former pupils and staff members to current pupils and staff members. To achieve this we will keep you informed about the school with a quarterly newsletter, we will organise occasional social events and we will try to bring former students and staff into the school in order to support and enrich the school’s curriculum as well as improve links with the local community.

As a Friend of Tufnell Park Primary school, you can help us in different ways:

  • you have skills that can help us to offer better services to our pupils and staff
  • you have time you can donate towards various activities
  • you have (some) money you can donate to support various fundraising projects put forwards by the school and the Parent Teacher Association. Every penny helps! See below

Any fundraising will be done exclusively through the Tufnell Park Primary PTA who with charitable status benefit from Gift Aid which allows charities to claim an extra 25p from the UK government for every £1 you give.

We are fundraising to keep our kids active in the playground. As part of the rebuild the current playground has to be replaced and we are missing the funds to buy and install new equipment. Families and friends can participate by Buying a Brick that will be displayed at the entrance of the school grounds. You can name your brick, leave an inspiring message or leave it blank.
Please help us to provide our children with the best possible environment where they can grow and thrive.
It costs us £10 to get the brick engraved, shipped and installed, so we decided to set a minimum amount per brick to £25. Of course feel free to give as much as you can. Buy A Brick to help fund new playground equipment here https://tiny.cc/buybrick
