Telling Our Story…

You could have heard a pin drop at assembly on Friday morning as the whole school listened to children’s poems inspired by their family history – memories of special places, traditions… and food!

Poet Paul Lyalls is working with children and parents this half term as part of our long-term community project, TUFNELL PARK: OUR STORY.

Almost every hand was in the air at poet Paul Lyalls’ assembly on Friday.

Look out for Paul at International Evening on Thursday 4th October (although in truth, he’ll be hard to miss).  He’s helping out next to a giant map in the school reception area, inspiring families to share stories of their history in Tufnell Park – and far beyond.

A poem inspired by one pupil’s memories of Chinese New Year was one of those read.
