This page will be updated regularly with Summer Fair planning news, including where we need help.
Group planning happens at Friendly Friday (Friday pick-up 3:30pm – 5:00pm) or in WhatsApp groups for specific tasks.
If you can help, please speak to your class rep, John Young, or join us on Fridays at pickup.
🎟️ Raffle
The raffle is coming together — amazing prizes already in the works.
See if your place of work would like to donate a prize. If so, please let John or Martina know.
We will be selling raffle tickets at drop-off and pick-up. Volunteers needed.
🚒 Kentish Town Fire Station
A fire truck and the men and women of the Kentish Town Fire Station will be on-site (unless they’re called out). Very exciting! Fingers crossed for a quiet day!
🍽️ Food & Drink
Main Food Stall (Kim & Sam)
Volunteers needed for food sales and serving — this is one of the busiest stalls!
- Curry chicken (Halal – generously donated)
- Rice & peas
- Homemade coleslaw
- Mac & cheese (three-cheese, oven-baked)
- Jamaican-style patties (like a beef pasty, with a touch of spice)
- Hot dogs with grilled onions
- Rum punch
- Non-alcoholic punch
Smoothie & Juice Stall
Led by Andrian. Volunteers needed for prep and sales. Contact your class rep if you’d like to help.
Ice Lollies Stall
Jessica has kindly offered to run the ice lolly stall. Would welcome a hand or two during the event.
Cake Stall
Baking and stall volunteers needed. Please let your class rep know if you plan to bake. Also looking for:
- Day-of help running the stall
- Pre-event coordination for baked goods
The mobile Bar
No other summer fair has a shopping trolley mobile-bar. Be a part of this elite team and volunteer today.
🎈 Activities & Entertainment
Game Stalls, including Basketball Shoot in our new hoops!!!
Volunteers needed. Sign-up sheet coming soon. A kitten cries every time a game stall is unattended. Please, no crying kittens this summer.
Face Painting. Arts & Crafts.
Coordinated by Natalie & Sarah. Please reach out to them or your class rep if you can help.
These will be in the Pond-Garden Classroom — a fantastic space revived by parent volunteers
Karaoke
Managed by Martin. Volunteers needed to test equipment, help with setup and break-down afterward.
5-a-Side Football
Volunteer coordinator needed. Sam has arranged for a referee for an hour match made up of 10 minute games. Sign-up sheet coming soon.
Supervised Play on the pitch
Volunteers needed for shifts throughout the event to oversee supervised play on the pitch.
Front Table
Jo, Di and Renata will be helping with the opening rush between 1:30pm to 2:30pm, but we will need volunteers to work shifts after to collect the entry fee, sell tokens and raffle tickets. We will also need someone to hand out pre-sold tokens in the first hour.
Bottle Tombola
Volunteers needed to coordinate and run this Tufnell Park Primary tradition.
📋 Pre-Event Help
Pre-event Resource Coordination
Sally & Mara are organising materials. Volunteers needed. This is incredibly important behind the scenes work. Without the amazing work that Sally has done this year, our events simply would not have been able to happen – or at least definitely not as smoothly.
Friday 11 July (Afternoon)
Help needed to set up the tarp support structure, layout stall placement and run power.
Monica will be decorating the hut with art that the children have created in their classes. Help here is welcome.
Saturday 12 July (Morning)
Help needed setting up gazebos and stalls, bringing out equipment, getting food setup, etc… big day!
