Mathematics

Mathematics is given extra emphasis, with daily lessons. From Year 1 on, all children also take part in our Big Maths initiatives, which focus on the skills that underlie these critical subject areas.

Big Maths emphasizes the skills of investigation and problem-solving that are crucial to progress in mathematics. Sessions are lively, often involving children working collaboratively. Applying learning so as to ask the right questions is prioritized over recording correct answers.
