Black History Month 2022

At Tufnell Park, we are proud to have a diverse curriculum and we have worked hard to embed Black History and representation across the school, throughout the year. However,  we also appreciate the significance of  marking and celebrating this month.

For Black History Month 2022, we have learnt about the experience of significant Black British figures and the impact they have on our society.

Each class have focused on a key individual, and map their background, achievements and impact on the UK.

Here is our world heritage map below all question marks have been removed to show who the focused people are in 2022 at Tufnell Park.

By the end of the month, the children had developed their knowledge around the abundance of differences that make up our rich culture in England. They were also were able to detail exactly where those influences originated.

There were frequent drops of mini ‘TUF-talks’ which delved deeper into our figures across October as they took their place on the heritage map.
